Fen Skies
I'm endlessly taking photo's of the view from our front window so here they are, along with a few scans of my paintings.

Oh, it's that time of the year. Hay bales. I just came back from the 'big bad city' and all along the highway there were fields of bales-hay and alfalfa, very expensive stuff. Your bales look very large. How much do they weigh? In Oklahoma they roll theirs, as well as Oregon. The local ones usually weigh 50-60 lbs. Thanks for the post.
These bales of straw are roughly 0.7 imperial tons. Sometimes they are used to generate power. I have a friend who is a farmer who uses a very old bailer to produce small hay bales for horses, but it's unusual to see them around here. We do get the big round ones too, which look very sculptural in the evening sun.
How do you mean generate power? You burn them? Can't be that, would be a waste. What are you feeding your horses?
Now THIS is what they mean by watercolor. Very atmospheric, Jeremy.
I like the round ones. We have both round and square bales in Kansas. Since we have drought here feed is going very high in price and cattle are being sold off. Very good photography here!
